For two of our races, the Yankee Springs Trail Run and the Yankee Springs Winter Challenge, lodging is available near the start/finish at the Long Lake Outdoor Center.
Two Options are available:
- Rent a cabin. The cabins accommodate up to 4 or 5 people and are a nice option for a couple, a family, a small group, or an individual who just wants privacy
- Rent a bunk. If you just want a place to crash for the night, this is the cheaper option. The bunks are in a summer camp style bunk house with 10 bunks in each room.
The cabins and bunk houses are clean, cozy, and well maintained. For the spring race a bath house with warm showers is available for your use. For the winter race, the bath house is closed, and the lower price reflects that, but there are outhouses near the cabins. The cabins are heated in the winter and have power for basic electrical needs, like charging your devices. You will need to bring bedding or a sleeping bag.
Sign up for lodging at the Long Lake Outdoor Center when you register for the race on Ultrasignup.
Another option, if you enjoy camping, is to stay at one of the State Park campgrounds, which are a few miles from the start/finish. For more information about camping, visit the Yankee Springs State Recreation Area website.
